James \u201cJim\u201d Allen Shepard, 74, of Bessemer, passed away October 14, 2020. Jim was retired from Southern Company Services. He was a lay pastor of prayer at the Church at Brookhills. He was an avid sailor, and captain of his sailboat \u201cGypsy\u201d.<\/p>\n
Jim was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Margie Shepard. He is survived by his wife Linda H. Shepard; daughter Kellie Shepard Rambin (Steven); grandson Jonathan Brown; and granddaughter Taylor Brown.<\/p>\n
There will be a visitation from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Monday, October 19, 2020, at Peoples Chapel Funeral Home. A memorial service will be at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home, with Rev. Rick Ousley officiating.<\/p>\n
