Danny Herrin

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of William Danny Herrin this past Friday, July 17th, 2020 at the age of 69. Danny is survived by his wife Shirley Herrin, his son Gregory Herrin, and his sister Susan Langley.

Danny was a loving family man, a hard worker professionally, and an active member in his community. An avid fisherman, he loved to fish any chance he got, but loved the Gulf Coast especially. He enjoyed helping his wife in the garden and with their various other landscaping projects. And despite their frequent mischief, he also loved to spoil his two dogs rotten.

From a testimony from his son: He was the best father I could have ever asked for, and he’ll be deeply missed always. To all those who see this, I thank you for your friendship to my dad.

Memorial services will be held at Ward-Wilson Funeral Home, address 2414 Hartford Highway, Dothan, AL 36305, this Thursday, July 23rd, 2020. Visitation will be at 10 a.m., with graveside service being held at 11 a.m. If you’d like any additional information, you can email gdherrin@cba.ua.edu, and we will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.
