On Thursday morning May, 9th 2019, Sarah Ann Micklewright left her earthly home and ran into the Pearly Gates of Heaven to all her loved ones including her Beloved Charlie. What a beautiful sight that must have been. While it is a time to grieve, we rejoice knowing she is being welcomed home by our Lord because we know to be absent from our bodies is to be present with the Lord.
A Trussville Alabama native, Sarah Ann Skelton Micklewright was born in Buhl, Alabama on April 8, 1936. Ann graduated from Hewitt High School in 1954. Ann was a member of Huffman Baptist Church. Ann worked for 26 years for Southern Company Services in Birmingham, Alabama and retired in 1992 an Executive Secretary to the Vice President of Research & Environmental Affairs.
She remained active and enjoyed “Friends to the End” ladies retirees group. Ann liked to water ski, read, listen to good music, dance, cross stitch, travel, shop and relax on the beach while watching sunset.

Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Charles Micklewright, her parents John Hubert Skelton & Vera Edna Channell, brothers; Raymond (Bertha) Skelton, Oscar (Betty) Skelton, Alton Skelton, sister; Mildred Frances Edge, and son-in-law, KK Brewster. Ann is survived by her adoring daughter, Suzanne Micklewright Brewster-Bush(Billy), five fantastic grandchildren; Haley Sanford ( Jerry), AJ Bush(Megan), SarahAnne Brewster, Jackson Ward Brewster and Wyatt Elliott Brewster, four Great Grand-loves; Skylar & Levi Bush, Addie Grace & Logan Sanford and one amazing sister; Grace Boyle. She was Aunt to numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Celebrating her life at Deerfoot Memorial Funeral Home 5360 Deerfoot Parkway – Trussville, Alabama 35173. Visitation Monday May 13, 2019 6-8pm. Funeral Service Tuesday May 14, 2019 at 3pm followed by a graveside at Central Baptist Cemetery in Argo, Al.
