Arnold Roy Sims Jr., age 72, of Pelham, Alabama passed away on July 19, 2019. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Roy was born July 23,1946 and attended Lee Elementary School, West End High School 1964, and Samford University 1969. He retired from Southern Company Services and was a volunteer and board member Emeritus of APCO Employees Credit Union with 43 years of service.

He is survived by his wife Sharon E. Sims, his two children Kelly Sims Herron (Keith) and Roy “Ro” Sims III (Stevi), grandchildren Charles Herron, Sims Herron, Caroline Herron, Hayes Sims and Madi Claire Sims. Proceeded in death by A. Roy Sims, Sr. (Father), Ruth Hailey Sims (Mother), Sandra Sims Evers (Sister) and Herman Evers (brother-in-law).

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Pelham from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm with a service to follow.
