Congratulations to our retiree Henry Garrett and his wife Ann who will be celebrating their 70th Wedding Anniversary December 15. Both live at St. Martin’s in the Pines in the Eastwood area and both of them are doing well.

Gary Stephen Vincent, born on May 17, 1960, went to be with our Lord on November 14, 2019, due to going into sudden cardiac arrest. Although his life on this earth was only 59 years, Gary Vincent lived and loved well. Gary was the oldest of five children born to Lt. Col. Maurice “Vince” Vincent and Shirley Sparks Vincent. Gary was born in Panama City, Florida and lived in Germany when young. Gary and his siblings grew up in the Ft. Rucker and Enterprise area, as his father served three tours in Vietnam. Gary excelled in school. He was on the debate team, math team and trivia bowl team. He graduated as a 1978 Valedictorian of Enterprise High School. He was a talented musician. He played trumpet in the high school band, played piano, and sang in St. Luke’s youth and adult choirs.

We will have a social time to meet and talk to your fellow retirees and friends, and have a nice meal while being entertained by Frank Jones, a highly accomplished concert pianist. We also will have a business meeting, election and installation of 2020 Officers, and door prizes.

We were notified on October 18, 2019 that Bernard Moore, age 80, of Birmingham, Al (native of Hazard, KY) passed away on October 8, 2019. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy, two sons, Kenneth and Kevin Moore, two daughters-in-law, Becky and Jyl, four grandchildren, and extended family of cousins and friends. He loved to travel, read books, and listen to music, especially jazz. He held a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Science from Howard College, now Samford University.
The graveside service was held at 1:30pm, Tuesday, October 15th at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham. A memorial service followed at St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Cahaba Heights at 3:00pm, with a reception following at St. Stephens. The family has asked that donations to be made in lieu of flowers
George Harvey Imbusch, 91, a resident of Birmingham, Alabama, went to be with the Lord on October 16th, 2019. George was a native of Cullman, Alabama and graduated from Saint Bernard Preparatory School in 1945. He served in the United States Air Force between the years of 1948-1952. George worked for Baggett Transportation company from 1959 to 1994 and retired as Executive Vice President of Operations. He continued his love for the road throughout retirement, transporting cars from dealer to dealer across the Southeast for Moultrie Motors. He and his wife, Jackie, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on October 3rd of this year.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Aloysius and Irene Imbusch, and his brother, Bob Imbusch. He is survived by his loving wife, Jackie; his son, David (Sherrie); his grandchildren, Madison, Will, John David Imbusch, Daniel Eichhorn, and Emily Eichhorn. He is also survived by his sister, Charlotte Delatte; his neice, Ann Schermer (Philip); and his nephew, Philip Delatte.
The visitation will be held Monday, October 21st at 10:00 a.m. and the funeral at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Presbyterian Church (4601 Valleydale Rd, Birmingham, AL 35242), where he was a long time member. George taught us so many lessons over the years and will be missed by all.
